Gibbons Dance is based at the New Middleton Arena. Gibbons Dance is owned and run by Neil Gibbons (Lic)(Mem)UKA. The Arena is a state of the art air-conditioned venue with a sprung floor. Gibbons Dance also runs regular dance classes and a wide range of dance events across the Greater Manchester area.

Neil and Sue Gibbons began their dance partnership in 1993, soon becoming a very popular couple in competitions, their presence and ability soon made an impact. In their competition career they won more than fifty major trophies and championships, All England Latin Champs gaining status with the British International team. They were also a regular choice for the Northwest dance team, winning the Northwest trophy twice in succession, this trophy is awarded to the couple that won the most competitions nationally in one year.

Neil started dancing from a very young age, he pursued a career as a professional musician before returning to the world of dance. Sue had a very successful career as a skater before becoming the youngest judge ever appointed.

Turning professional in 1998 Neil & Sue started Vivas Dance Club teaching all levels of dance from beginners to competition dancers, both becoming members of the UKA, they also were responsible for the "Dance Crazy" shows which involved many dance schools and dance styles, these shows also raised money for charity.

Tragically in December 2008 after a short illness Sue lost her fight against cancer, Sue will always be remembered for her creativity and her flare for the unique.

Neil is a Latin Specialist who also teaches Ballroom, Argentine Tango, Salsa, French Jive, Rock-n-Roll, Line Dancing, Jive Swing and Sequence Dancing. Neil is also a qualified Judge to Championship standard.
